FloodCast is a flood prediction tool and hydroanalytics database. FloodCast is powered by a deep-learning neural network trained using 4200+ entries of historical flood data gathered over the past 20 years in Australia, sourced from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. Given a coordinate point or an address, FloodCast can assess what is the likelihood of a flood occurring in the area. FloodCast also returns an array of 11 hydrological and meteorological variables of said area. The value of FloodCast is that there is currently no way for Australians to access easily interpretable, location-based flood hazard predictions.
