Artform: Graphic Design

In my Body of Work I have utilised the contemporary technology of digital drawing to create memories of my school days, as I reflect upon the era of my life that I am about to leave as I journey into adulthood. My originally designed characters represent a composite my real peers in public schools in Anhui Province, China. My series of drawings digital images convey my memories of their personal nature. As ‘art imitates life’ my digital creativity allows me to relive in my mind these precious memories, on the screen and then onto print, as I reflect on my past in another country, another culture and another language.
