Inspired by Chinese philosopher Zhuang Zhou, my work explores freedom of will and mind by depicting my relatives in hyper-realistic detail. This reflects his ideas on individuality and self-transcendence, engaging with metaphysical concepts as I introspectively 'inspect' myself through an illustrated book featuring a self-portrait, reflecting my own identity.
