Silent Inheritance

This drawing series confronts the impact of urbanisation on Australia’s native landscapes and wildlife. Detailed skull studies, both intimate and monumental, merge with imagery of human machinery, such as bulldozers entwined with koala skulls and car tyres encasing wombat remains. Interwoven with studies of native plants, the works create a dialogue between fragility and destruction, mourning the irreversible loss while urging reflection on humanity’s role in shaping the land’s fate.
