Echoes in Blue
My Body of Work reflects the delicate, ephemeral beauty of mountainous and icy landscapes encountered during my travels through Iceland, Japan and Finland. Through cyanotype photography, I translate these environments into rich Prussian blues, using experimental techniques that embrace the medium’s inherent unpredictability. This unpredictability echoes the transient, melting nature of the places I depict. While climate change hums quietly in the background, my primary focus lies in capturing the sensory and emotional memory of these landscapes and their textures, contours and elusive light. Each piece becomes both an act of reverence and an elegy, preserving what is slipping away through a process as fragile as the scenes themselves.
